Get ready to experience Lexington’s number one attraction, the Kentucky Horse Park. Take a walking tour of the barns where you will meet the Kentucky Horse Park Mounted Police, tour the blacksmith facility and don’t miss the International Museum of the Horse. The Hall of Champions is also included with your admission; watch prized thoroughbreds captivate the crowd. You can also take an included carriage ride pulled by draft horses for a brief overview of the park.

Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour- is a live audience syndicated public radio and public TV show, taping 44 weeks a year on Monday evenings from the historic Lyric Theatre in Lexington, KY. It’s fun, exciting … lights, camera, action.

We will overnight at The Historic Boone Tavern Inn in Berea, KY, where the blue grass of Kentucky meets the rolling hills of Appalachia. You will enjoy an included breakfast buffet and a morning of leisurely shopping in the artisan shops of Berea. You will find everything from fine needlecrafts to dulcimers and jewelry.

We travel on to Cumberland Falls State Resort Park and the beautiful DuPont Lodge with outdoor pool, tennis courts and hiking trails. You will see the “NIAGARA OF THE SOUTH”, the 125 foot wide curtain of water that plunges 7 stories into a boulder-strewn gorge, a dramatic sight day or night. The DuPont Lodge is one of the most beautiful state park lodges with its solid hemlock beams and massive fireplaces. The park naturalist will provide a presentation of the falls and we will make two shuttles to the falls. One during daylight hours and the other after 11PM for an up close viewing of the Moonbow, if weather conditions are right. This is the only location in the Western Hemisphere to see this phenomenon. Activities available for additional fees are horseback riding, Rainbow Mist raft ride to the Falls, gem mining and fishing.

We say good bye to the DuPont Lodge as we head south to Stearns, KY for our train ride aboard the “Big South Fork Scenic Railway.” This is a breath-taking scenic ride through the Daniel Boone National Forest with a stop for an included lunch at the Blue Herron coal mining camp. Hear stories from the actual voices of what it was like back then! Afterwards, you can tour the McCreary County Museum.

The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass is Kentucky’s only designer outlet shopping center.
