The Waterfront Grill, situated on the banks of the beautiful Bayou DeSiard will be our included lunch stop on our way to Monroe, LA., hometown of the Robertson family stars of the A&E hit show Duck Dynasty. With a step-on-guide onboard we will track the Duck Dynasty Stars through the streets of Monroe. Stop at the Duck Commander Store and Warehouse, owned by the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty. We can’t guarantee a “beard sighting” while we are there, but the Duckmen are in and out of the store most every day. Visit Landry’s Vineyard featured in an episode of Duck Dynasty. Visit the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum of Louisiana. The museum preserves the memory of the “Flying Tigers”, an all volunteer unit during World War II that trained at the flight school at Selman Field. Dinner will be on your own this evening with an option to eat at Willie’s Duck Diner.

This morning travel to Alexandria, LA and stop at the Silver Dollar Pawn & Jewelry the home of “Cajun Pawn Stars.” Enjoy a “meet and greet” with cast members from the show, as well as a unique history and retail experience as you tour various areas of the store. This afternoon visit the Frogmore Cotton Plantation. On this 1800-acre working cotton plantation hear the story of cotton in the antebellum era of the South through today. Frogmore offers both a rare antique steam gin and high-tech modern gin along with 19 antebellum outbuildings. We have cotton to pick during the tour. Accommodations tonight are in Canton, MS with dinner on your own.

All aboard for the all new Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum in Jackson, TN! Step back in time at the world famous Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store Restaurant where you’ll enjoy an included buffet lunch. In the heart of the Old Country Store is one of the top 50 ice cream parlors in America. A very rare soda fountain made in the 1880’s, one of seventy-five ever made! The Railroad museum contains many exhibits dedicated to Casey’s life and famous last ride. Enjoy a short film about the story of Casey Jones, three authentic rail cars, and even an original engine Casey drove. You are welcome to climb aboard and ring the bell. This evening’s accommodations will be at Goodlettsville, TN. Dinner will be included at the Opry Backstage Grill in Nashville, TN. Don’t be surprised if your server takes the stage to deliver a country favorite or two. Today we’ll make our way home with the opportunity to reminisce with fellow travelers over an included lunch.
