Join us as we travel back in time at the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site, where the foundation of Indiana was laid. We’ll tour the original capitol building and several early-1800s structures. See the location of the “Constitutional Elm that sheltered the writing of Indiana’s constitution.

Visit Zimmerman Art Glass where we’ll get to watch a first hand demonstration of off-hand glassmaking. This family business with 5 generations of glass blowers creates 110 different pieces such as paperweights and holiday ornaments.

Then it’s time to travel underground at Squire Boone Caverns. In 2017 they unveiled a new passageway through this breathtaking cave including a new entrance, new bridges & new corridors!

A local guide will take us through this living cave. View rushing streams that carry more than a million gallons of water through the cave and over rarely seen underground waterfalls.

Stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone and more adorn the cavern walls, ceilings and floors in a natural wonder that has taken millions of years to create. Walk about 1/3 of a mile through this living and growing ecosystem deep below the Earth’s surface and learn how its passageways were slowly formed over eons of time, even as dinosaurs roamed the earth!

The caverns stay a pleasant 54° F year-round – a jacket or sweater is recommended. The tour takes place along lighted, paved walkways and steel bridges and ends with a 73-step spiral staircase (not recommended for those with serious medical conditions).

After our tour you can explore Squire Boone Village where you can dip your own candles, visit Boone’s kitchen, watch lye soap being made, pan for (fools) gold or watch the Grist Mill grind grain.
