Enjoy the beauty and fragrance of the “Lilacs” in full bloom on this annual tour to northern Michigan. Bring a good pair of walking shoes as this trip packs a punch for shopping and exploring. Our trip begins in Frankenmuth, one of Michigan’s most visited attractions. We will visit River Place Shopping Village, take a city tour, dine on Zehnder’s famous all you can eat family style chicken dinner and overnight at Zehnder’s Splash Village. Time will be spent at Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland; 1.5 football fields under roof with amazing Christmas selections: trees, lights, wreaths and items too numerous to mention.

As we say good bye to Frankenmuth, we will visit Zeilinger Wool Company, a staple in Frankenmuth since 1910. Enjoy a guided tour of the wool processor and browse their handcrafted retail items from socks to bed linens. Then it is off to Mackinaw City for a two night stay in downtown Mackinaw. Our hotel is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, the beach front and all things Mackinaw. We will tour the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse inclusive of Keeper’s Quarters, Tower Tour (for those desiring and physically able to climb 51 narrow steps plus 11 rungs on an 8ft ladder and shimmy through a small opening!), Shipwrecks of the Straits video and the Shipwreck Museum. After an included Mackinaw dinner, we will cheer on the lumberjacks at the Jackpine Lumberjack Show.

Next stop is Mackinac Island for a full day of adventure, fun and food. An included carriage ride around the island with a stop at Fort Mackinac and The Grand Lunch Buffet at the Grand Hotel! You will have free time to shop and explore all Mackinac Island has to offer with return ferry to Mackinaw City included. Shuttle service to hotel is included with your ferry ticket after a full day of walking on Mackinac Island. We will make a stop at The National Shrine of the Cross In the Woods, a highly visited Michigan attraction with the world’s largest collection of nun dolls and Frank Lloyd Wright inspired architecture.
