Christmas Celebration of Lights!
Lights Under Louisville – Schimpff’s Confectionery
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2019
$99.00 per person
Includes motorcoach transportation, admission per itinerary and Imperial Escort.
Depart Lafayette at 7:30AM, Lebanon at 8:00AM and Indianapolis at 8:30AM.
We begin with a stop at Schimpff’s Confectionery. This unique confectionery in Jeffersonville’s downtown historic district comes complete with a 50’s soda fountain and original tin ceiling. The old-fashioned candy jars, cases, and turn-of-the century equipment transport you back to the good old days of home-made candy and a real fountain drink. Enjoy watching them make their handmade candy canes and browsing amidst thousands of pieces of American candy memorabilia.
We’ll visit Frazier History Museum to see their special holiday exhibit – 65 Years of White Christmas. Featuring props, costumes, and memorabilia, this exhibition pays tribute to White Christmas (1954), a holiday classic staring Kentucky native Rosemary Clooney.
You may also visit any of their permanent exhibits including The Stewart Toy Soldier Gallery, where you’ll find one of the largest collections of historic miniatures on public display in the world.
During the Holidays they transform Louisville Mega Cavern into an underground holiday light spectacular. It’s said to be the only underground holiday light show in the world featuring over 2,000,000 points of light and 850 theme characters with animation set to holiday music. This is a great way to begin the Holiday Season as we ride aboard our motorcoach through this one-of-a-kind holiday attraction filled with sights and sounds of the holiday season!
