We’ll overnight on our way to Charleston and then spend our second night near Historic Charleston.
While in Charleston, we’ll visit Magnolia Plantation & Gardens. Step back in time with a guided tour of the Drayton family home. It is the oldest public tourist site in the Lowcountry, and the oldest public gardens in America, opening its doors to visitors in 1870 to view the thousands of beautiful flowers and plants in its famous gardens. Then travel aboard the nature tram to tour the plantation’s wetlands, lakes, forests, and marshes.
Charleston is notably the most historic city in America and has many historic areas and attractions which are best visited by carriage tour. We’ll Clippity clop our way back to Colonial times aboard a horse-drawn carriage tour. Experience over 300 years of history including antebellum mansions, churches, and cobblestone streets.
After our time in Charleston, we’ll board the Carnival Sunshine ship for an exciting 5-night cruise to the Bahamas. Enjoy
2 full days at sea and 1-day in Nassau and 1-day in Half Moon Cay.
The days at sea give you plenty of time to relax and enjoy all the amenities offered aboard the ship. All your meals are included on the ship. Shore excursions for Nassau and Half Moon Cay will be available for an additional fee and gratuities on the ship are not included.
Our return travels will take us to Pigeon Forge for our last evening. Enjoy our included Farewell dinner and then we’ll see Christmas at the Smoky Mountain Opry, a multi-million dollar Christmas production that features flying sugar plum fairies, soaring angels, dancing elves, enchanted reindeer, Jolly ol’ Saint Nick and the area’s largest living nativity!
