Step back in time to the early days of river cruising. The Michigan Princess is a classic replica of a 19th century steam boat. Escape to a simpler way of life during a delightful 90 minute lunch ride while taking in breathtaking views along the Grand River.

We stay two nights at the Bavarian Inn Lodge located on the banks of the Cass River.  Enjoy 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, strudel making experience and a city tour!  Follow the cobblestone street to the specialty boutiques in the Frankenmuth River Place Shops.   Explore at your leisure: The Frankenmuth Historical Museum, The Glockenspiel Tower, The Bavarian Belle Riverboat and St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.

No trip to Frankenmuth is complete without a visit to Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland.   Take a self guided tour of Bronner’s Silent Night Chapel, a replica of the original chapel in Oberndorg/Salzburg, Austria where Silent Night was first sung on Christmas Eve 1818.   At Zeilinger Wool Company we see how wool has been processed for over 100 years making delightful socks, yarns, mittens and more.

Crossroads Village.  Vintage amusement rides such as 1910 CW Parker Superior Wheel, Mangels Pony Carts, Venetian Swings and 1912 CW Parker Carousel are ready to take us back to summer traveling shows!  Hop the rail for a 40 minute journey behind an authentic Baldwin Steam Locomotive along the shores of Mott Lake.  A mini Greenfield Village with half the walking!
