What began back in 1883 as a first art exhibition at the English Hotel in downtown Indianapolis by Mary Sewall and her husband has blossomed into a 152 acres estate now known as Newfields. 

This tour is a combination of docent led and on own exploration.  Included with the tour is a voucher for The Café where you may dine at your leisure.

Are you curious to see what is considered the most comprehensive collection of Neo-Impressionist paintings in North America?  This is your day to enjoy the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Lilly House-  Purchased by J.K. Lilly Jr., the late Indianapolis businessman, collector, and philanthropist, in 1932, it served as his family’s home until his death in 1965. Today, the first floor of Lilly House has been restored to closely resemble its appearance in the 1930s. In fact, the majority of the furnishing and decorative arts objects featured belonged to the Lillys and were used in the home.

Madeline F. Elder Greenhouse originally provided plants and produce to the residents. The first glasshouses were built in the 1920s and the present structures were constructed in the late 1940s. Visitors may explore the fully renovated Elder Greenhouse while learning from the knowledgeable staff and volunteers

**There is considerable self paced walking on this trip to truly enjoy the grounds, home and museum.  Wheelchairs are available on a first come first serve basis or travelers are welcome to bring their own.  Our approximate return time is 6PM.
